Friday, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Watch the Panthers practice, beginning at 7:30 p.m., with fun and events before and after. Performances by TopCats, Sir Purr, PurrCussion and Black & Blue Crew begin at 6:30 p.m., and the evening ends with a fireworks and laser show at 9:30 p.m. Free admission.
Movies Under the Stars
Symphony Park, 4400 Sharon Road
Friday, 7 p.m. The first of a month-long SouthPark series kicks off with a summer carnival in Symphony Park that includes the band Mr. Nigel. The feature film, “Big Hero 6,” begins at dusk.
