Longtime radio host TJ Ritchie will discuss politics and pop culture in new solo show

The guy named TJ from the long-running Charlotte radio program “The Ace & TJ Show,” is set to get his own weeknight show starting May 27, a WBT press release said.

TJ Ritchie, who described himself as “America’s Coolest Conservative,” said his new show, “The TJ Ritchie Show,” will feature “high energy, fun, and humorous” discussions around politics and pop culture with high-profile guests.

“This is something I’ve always wanted to do, and getting to do it on the legendary WBT is such a thrill,” Ritchie said in the press release. “The timing is perfect because there are so many people who are just starting to become interested in the political landscape of our culture ... It’s going to be spectacular. All of that AND I get to keep my day job!”

The longtime radio host will take calls from listeners during the show, which is set to premiere on the heritage news talk station in Charlotte, the press release said.

For nearly three decades, Ritchie co-hosted “The Ace & TJ Show” with David “Ace” Cannon. Listeners were shocked when Cannon suddenly departed from the show in September 2024. Cannon died in February. He was 56.

The show later relaunched as “The TJ & Riggins Show,” with Bryan “Riggins” Weber serving as co-host.

Ritchie’s new show will air weeknights between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., and can be heard on 1110 AM and 99.3 FM.
