Excited, you’ll be.

Disney announced Saturday that it is building two Star Wars-themed attractions at its parks in California and Florida.

The attractions “will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance,” said Walt Disney Company chair and CEO Bob Iger. Among the features: A chance to control the Millennium Falcon ship.

Iger said the 14-acre projects will be the largest single-themed expansions at the parks in Kissimmee, Fla. and Anaheim, Calif.

It was not immediately clear when the new attractions would open.

The announcement came during the D23 Expo fan convention, which wraps up Sunday.
