Guy Fieri Issues Statement Following Unexpected Interaction: 'I'm Devastated'

Guy Fieri has issued a statement after he was seen mingling with the Tate Brothers at UFC 327.

"I'm seeing all of your comments about the photo from Saturday's UFC event and all I can say is that I'm devastated," Fieri wrote on X. "I was there to see the fights and when I was walking through the venue, the Tate brothers stood up and said hello and that's when the exchanged happened. I did not know them or about them before that moment."

"I'll never pretend to be a perfect person but let me be crystal clear, I do not know the Tate brothers nor do I support them in any way," Fieri added.

In at least one video posted on social media, the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives host shook hands with Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate. The Tate brothers are extremely controversial and are currently dealing with human trafficking charges in Romania. Meanwhile, authorities in the United Kingdom are investigating Andrew over alleged assault and abuse. The Tate brothers have denied any and all charges brought against them.

Fieri's statement received mixed reactions from social media users.

"Seems pretty friendly," one person wrote.

"I can't believe you are apologizing for meeting someone you did not know," someone else said.

"Yeah well you still don't make any apologies for your association with Trump, so you're still a problem," another social media user added.

"Bro why are you apologizing for being cordial with someone at a public event. You look goofy. Stop it," a fourth comment read.

UFC 327 was held at the Kaseya Center in Miami and drew quite a few notable names, including President Donald Trump, Kid Rock, Joe Rogan, and more.
