EA's ‘skate.' Team Brings Back Finger Flips in Season 4
The “skate.” development team at Full Circle shared some new details Thursday on the upcoming Season 4, following positive responses concerning Season 3. To talk about the update, the team decided to do an interview-style chat that details everything there is to know about Season 4.
The new season will be home to Finger Flips, a fan-favorite trick that involves you quite literally bending down and flipping your board with your fingers as opposed to with your feet. Now, you’ll be able to enjoy even more combos than thought possible in previous entries.
The skate.Pass is also expected to get a massive upgrade, giving players more rewards and even fun ways to earn cash. Players who opt into the pass can earn up to 1,500 SVB and will have access to the Isle of Grom. The most important thing coming to Season 4, arguably, is the addition of a brand-new area in San Vansterdam.
Not a whole lot has been said concerning what or where this area is, but it’s been confirmed that visual updates like lighting changes and enhancements are on the way to help make the city feel a little bit more lived in. There are also more social features in the work, so you can skate with your friends online more easily.
There are also new challenges on the way and a more competitive challenge type arriving at some point in the middle of the season.
Looking to the future, the developers at Full Circle talk about more brand collaborations in “skate.,” like the most recent Nike SB crossover. It’s an exciting development and makes the arrival of Season 4 in early June even more highly anticipated than before.
A full roadmap is expected to be released at some point in May, detailing even more events and collaborations to look forward to throughout the year.
