Hayes Grier, part of the latest crop of teens to find stardom on Instagram and other social media tools, is headed to the dance floor.
The 15-year-old from Mooresville is one of the latest contestants announced for the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars.” The ABC competition pairs celebrities and dancing pros who show off choreographed performances of dance styles ranging from the samba to the Viennese Waltz.
Perhaps fittingly, Hayes spilled the beans online Thursday.

Hayes is the second-youngest contestant to appear on the show, according to Entertainment Weekly, and his dance partner hasn’t been announced yet.
Still, he’s sure to bring a huge following of teens to the show. Hayes boasts 4 million followers on both Instagram and Vine, with another 2.8 million on Twitter. If that sounds a little familiar, it’s because Hayes is the younger brother of another teen social media star, Nash Grier.
(Buzzfeed recently chronicled the experiences of Hayes and six other teen social media stars on the DigiTour.)
Only a few contestants have been unveiled so far. Joining Hayes are singer Nick Carter of “The Backstreet Boys;” Triple Crown winner Victor Espinoza, and conservationist Bindi Irwin. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ premiers on Sept. 14 on ABC.
