Charlotte Film Festival

Ayrsley Grand Cinemas, 9110 Kings Parade Blvd.

Friday, 8 p.m.: Opening night of this nine-day festival features the movie “Finders Keepers.” Additional films screened throughout the week at Ayrsley Grand Cinemas and Carolina Cinemas Charlotte. National Beer Mile

St. Ann’s Carnival

Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.: A full day of rides, games a bake sale, silent auction, face painting and bingo. Admission is free, ticket booths for rides and food. www.stanncharlotte.org

Charlotte Symphony
