Fall Fest at WDAV

WDAV, 423 N. Main St., Davidson

Wednesday, 4-8 p.m.: A family-friendly outdoor festival features food and drink from local vendors, live music, kids activities, giveaways, WDAV announcers on hand for pictures and tours of new broadcast studios. Free.

Sphinx Virtuosi

Thursday, 7 p.m.: Top alums of the national Sphinx Competition for young black and Latino string players offers its program “Inspiring Women,” which is a collection of works written by women composers or inspired by great women. Tickets $8, www.carolinatix.org.

University Place Fall Concert Series
