We’re used to seeing dramatic, sometimes over-the-top videos to tease an upcoming movie or new product hitting stores.

But now a real estate company is hoping its Hollywood-esque videos will help it sell a $14.9 million mansion in Chicago’s suburbs.

And we’d say the stakes are pretty high. The home belongs to basketball icon and Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan, who has been trying to sell the mansion for a few years. Jordan bought a home in The Peninsula neighborhood in Cornelius in 2013, according to the Business Journal.

So far, real estate broker Kofi Nartey has released three videos hyping the 56,000-square-foot, 9-bedroom and 15-bath estate. That includes a first-person style video from the mansion’s perspective showing off its putting greens, movie theater and full-size regulation basketball court.

“You call yourself a trophy property? A mansion?” the home says, laughing. “Let me show you something.”

Another tells viewers the property is “the Michael Jordan of homes because this is Michael Jordan’s home.”

Cheesy? Yes. A bit much? That’s probably an understatement.

But the videos are catching on: More than 500,000 people have viewed them so far.
