Modernism + Film: ‘Fully Awake: Black Mountain College’

Thursday, 7 p.m.: The 2007 documentary chronicles the faculty-owned arts college, Black Mountain College, that fostered independent thinking and an interdisciplinary education from 1933 to 1957. Cash bar and light appetizers begin at 6 p.m., with film and opening remarks at 7 p.m. from Katherine de Vos Devine, from Duke’s Department of Art, Art History and Visual Design.
