The “Call Me Maybe” singer’s proven she’s way more than a one-hit wonder, wowing critics with her follow-up album and assuming the role of Beauty School Dropout Frenchie in the recent live TV musical version of “Grease.” Twangy Los Angeles pop trio Fairground Saints opens the show.

‘Sealed With a Kiss’

Carolina Voices’ a cappella ensemble, Impromptu, performs its Valentine’s concert with great “kissing” tunes including, “This Kiss,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” and “Kiss the Girl.” The concert will include a Kiss Cam, audience participation and sweets for the holiday.

‘Pink at the Rink Weekend’

The Charlotte Checkers take on the San Diego Gulls for a pair of weekend games for the Checkers’ annual Pink at the Rink event, to raise awareness and funds for the fight against women’s cancers. Players will wear special pink jerseys that will be auctioned after the game to benefit Pretty in Pink, Carolina Breast Friends, Cindy’s Hope Chest, Shirley’s Angels and Novant Health Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center.
