Saturday, 7 p.m.: The Charlotte Checkers take on the San Diego Gulls for the AHL team’s annual event to raise awareness and funds for the fight against women’s cancers. Players will wear special pink jerseys that will be auctioned after the game to benefit Pretty in Pink, Carolina Breast Friends, Cindy’s Hope Chest, Shirley’s Angels and Novant Health Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center.
