Sunday, noon - 4 p.m.: North Davidson Street will be closed to car traffic from NoDa to First Ward – about a three-mile stretch – as people are encouraged to participate in recreation and health activities and entertainment in the streets, instead. World War II Reenactment
Historic Latta Plantation, 5225 Sample Road, Huntersville
Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.: The event focuses on demonstrations and battles surrounding WWII circa 1941-1945, and also includes living history exhibits and talks with both Allied and Axis reenactors. The large battle is at 2 p.m. Admission $8 adults, $7 seniors and students. www.lattaplantation.org.
Davidson’s Concerts on the Green

Sunday, 6-8 p.m.: The first of the summer concert series features Matt Stratford Band. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or a blanket and a picnic.
Shooter Jennings and Waymore’s Outlaws

Tuesday, 8 p.m.: Jennings’ latest album, “Countach,” is a tribute to electronic music pioneer Giorgio Moroder with Marilyn Manson, Brandi Carlile and computer game developer Richard Garriott. Tickets $25-$27, www.neighborhoodtheatre.com.
