Emily Maynard and Brad Womack really, truly done
Apparently, a relationship born on reality TV can't officially end until it gets a cover story in a celebrity magazine.
After months of it's over-it's not-it's over-it's not, Charlotte's Emily Maynard, winner of the most recent season of "The Bachelor," is single again. She and Bachelor Brad Womack have ended their brief relationship.
"We're no longer engaged," a teary Maynard told People magazine after taping an interview with "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison. "Just because we love each other doesn't mean we're right for each other."
The segment should air during the July 11 episode of "The Bachelorette." This season's bachelorette is Ashley Hebert, one of the three finalists for Womack's heart during his season.
People says Maynard, a 25-year-old single mom, broke her silence about her relationship with Womack, 38, because she's been hounded by paparazzi and tabloid rumors. She now hopes she and Ricki, her 6-year-old daughter, "can move on and get back to normal."
