Rapper Drake ‘makes it rain’ $50,000 at Charlotte nightclub

The popular website TMZ is reporting that the platinum-selling, Grammy award-winning rapper Drake caused quite a stir in Charlotte recently by throwing some $50,000 worth of bills in the air while celebrating at the Cameo nightclub.

TMZ says Drake and his companions opened a cardboard box at the west Charlotte night spot and pulled out thousands of dollars, then tossed them in the air as strippers danced around them. The photos showed the dance floor covered in $1 bills.

It wasn’t clear what day the money-throwing occurred, but Drake had appearances scheduled for last weekend’s CIAA tournament.
