Officer Jeff Davis and his interpretation of Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off" went viral on YouTube over the holiday weekend, and even got the singer's attention, USA Today reports.
A video produced by the Public Affairs department of the Dover Police Department starts with a dashcam capturing the 19-year-veteran officer lip sycing in his squad car, "I stay out too late. Got nothing in my brain. That's what people say, mmm-mmm. That's what people say, mmm-mmm."
The police department told USA Today that the video was staged just for fun and took about 15 minutes to produce. As of Tuesday afternoon, it had 18,880,000 page views.
On Sunday, the police department highlighted a Twitter response from Swift. The singer said, "LOLOLOLOL THE SASS."
