Charlotte history museum shows work of local photographer

Local freelance photographer Daniel Coston will showcase his work during the “On The Way Here: Adventures In Photography, Music and Life” exhibit at the Charlotte Museum of History, 3500 Shamrock Drive. The exhibit will run Oct. 9 through January 2016.

The collection will include photographs of musical artists, insight about his career and stories about the subjects of his work. Coston, who often photographs philanthropic events for the Observer, has shot many music legends including Johnny Cash, the Avett Brothers and others.

“On The Way Here,” which features some 90 photographs, also includes photos from his 20 years of travel.

Coston’s work has also appeared locally in People Magazine, Rolling Stone, Guitar World, Vanity Fair and many others. Courtney McLaughlin, correspondent
