Reports: Harrison Ford crash-lands plane in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (RNN) – Piloting a small plane, actor Harrison Ford has crash-landed at a golf course in Los Angeles, several media outlets have reported.

The Los Angeles Fire Department Twitter confirmed a "small aircraft" went down on Penmar Golf Course near the Santa Monica airport. They did not identify the passenger but said there was only one adult male occupant transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

There were no other injuries.

The Associated Press reports the plane appeared to be World War II-era Ryan PT-22 Recruit.

The National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation into the crash.

Harrison Ford is famous for playing two of the most recognizable characters in movie history - Han Solo in the Star Wars trilogy and the eponymous character in the Indiana Jones series.
