Ariana Grande has extended her summer tour to include Time Warner Cable Arena on July 21, an event sure to whip teenage girls in Charlotte into a frenzy.

Tickets go on sale April 4 at www.livenation.com. The 21-year-old pop star is also set to perform at Raleigh’s PNC Arena on Sept. 24.

Girls have been growing up with Grande since she landed the role of Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon TV series “Victorious” in 2009; that show spun off into “Sam & Cat” (also on Nick), which continued to air until 2014, the year her star as a singer reached maximum brightness.

Adults probably can’t name many of her hits, although many are likely familiar with club and radio hit “Bang Bang” (also featuring Jessie J and Nicki Minaj), an earworm of a song that also seems to pop up in movie trailers about every other week.

This will be Grande’s first time performing in Charlotte. Prince Royce, a Latin pop star, will serve as her opening act.
