What to Watch on Thursday: Pamela Adlon rules in ‘Better Things’
Better Things (10 p.m., FX) – Pamela Adlon stars in this new “Louie”-esque series (produced by Louis C.K.) as a former child star trying to handle the daily chaos of being a working actress of medium success and the divorced mother of three difficult girls. (Statement of the obvious: teenage girls are HARD.) Adlon, who has co-starred often on “Louie” (and “Lucky Louie”) has been long overdue for a lead, and this show is just great.
Queen of the South (10 p.m., USA) – Teresa and Brenda risk everything through extortion, while Camila takes steps to overtake Epifanio’s empire.
Beat Bobby Flay (10 p.m., Food) – Food truck owner Ed Hardy and Indian chef Kunal Lamba compete against Bobby.
I Love Kellie Pickler (10 p.m., CMT) – Kellie drives an Uber around Nashville to raise money for charity, while Kyle works with friend and country singer Lee Brice.
