What to Watch on Thursday: Zach Galifianakis’ ‘Baskets’ is back on FX

Baskets (10 p.m., FX) – In the Season 2 premiere, Chip’s (Zach Galifianakis) life has unraveled, so he decides to ride the rails to Kettleman City, where he finds work in a local elementary school. He also hears about a birthday party for a family of limited means, so Basket crashes the party to entertain the kids.

The Good Place (8 p.m., NBC) – In the Season 1 finale, Chidi and Tahani help Michael as he faces his biggest challenge yet.

Mom (9 p.m., CBS) – Bonnie urges Christy to go after Marjorie’s nephew, even though she has been told to stay away from him.

Reel South (10 p.m., UNC-TV) – In the documentary “Overburden,” the lives of two women collide after a mine disaster devastates their community.

Lip Sync Battle (10 p.m., Spike) – It’s Jay Leno vs. Craig Ferguson. I think I have to see this.

Colony (10 p.m., USA) – Will puts his trust in an old friend in the Santa Monica bloc.
