What to Watch on Friday: Clay Aiken on Bill Maher’s HBO show
Real Time with Bill Maher (10 p.m., HBO) – Singer Clay Aiken, who ran for a North Carolina congressional seat last year and is currently the star of Esquire Network’s “The Runner-Up” documentary series, will be the mid-show interview guest. Other guests include journalist Judith Miller and historian Jon Meacham.
Also on tonight . . .
Cedric’s Barber Battle (8 p.m., CW) – A new competition reality series hosted by Cedric the Entertainer in which barbers create amazing hair sculptures and designs, all while engaging in some good-natured smack-talk. If you’re a Cedric fan, hang around for the Season 3 premiere of “Whose Line Is It Anyway,” where he guest stars along with comic Gary Anthony Williams.
Bitten (8 p.m., Syfy) – Elena and the pack are on the hunt for Malcolm in the Season 2 premiere. A second new episode, in which Clay investigates a witchcraft symbol, airs at 9.
Last Man Standing (8 p.m., ABC) – In the Season 4 finale, Ryan’s father reveals the true motive behind his visit.
Cristela (8:30 p.m., ABC) – In the season (and perhaps series) finale, Cristela, Maddie and Josh wait for the results of their bar exams.
The Messengers (9 p.m., CW) – Another new CW series, this one a drama about a mysterious object that falls to Earth resulting in the deaths and resurrections of five strangers.
Orphan Black (Midnight, IFC) - The third season of “Orphan Black” starts Saturday night, so this marathon of the first two seasons is well timed. Set the DVR and catch up!
