What to Watch on Monday: CBS special salutes David Letterman
David Letterman: A Life on Television (9:30 p.m., CBS) – A 90-minute special celebrating David Letterman’s more than three decades in show business, featuring clips of interviews, show segments and stunts. Hosted by Ray Romano, the special will cover his start as a weatherman in Indiana and his short-lived daytime talk show, culminating with his 22 years as the host of “The Late Show” on CBS. Whether or not they’ll include clips from Letterman’s 11 years at NBC’s “Late Night,” not sure. Letterman’s last night hosting “The Late Show” is May 20. Stephen Colbert takes over in September.

Gotham (8 p.m., Fox) – In the Season 1 finale, Fish takes on Maroni and Penguin in an effort to re-stake her claim on the city. Meanwhile, Bruce searches his home for clues his father may have left behind.
Castle (10 p.m., ABC) – When Castle and Beckett investigate the death of the creator of a long-running sketch show, they discover a secret that could explain the murder.
The Returned (10 p.m., A&E) – Peter makes a shocking announcement, and Helen unleashes her deadly plan for the town.
Kumu Hina (10 p.m., UNC-TV) – In this Independent Lens special, the evolution of Hina Wong-Kalu, a transgender native Hawaiian teacher who embraces both male and female spirit.
