What to Watch on Wednesday: Things get crabby on ‘MasterChef’
MasterChef (8 p.m., Fox) – The cooks compete to prepare the best crab dish, and the winner gets an advantage over the others in the next round.
Chocolate City (8 p.m., BET) – A new movie starring Michael Jai White, Carmen Electra and Vivica A. Fox about a college student who becomes a male stripper.
Why We Left Earth (9 p.m., Science) – Physicist Brian Cox crosses the globe to understand a new theory about mankind’s journey into space. At 10, a show called “Why Are We Here?” has Cox examining evidence that supports a theory about what happened before the Big Bang.
Player Gets Played (9:30 p.m., Oxygen) – The start of a new series about getting revenge on cheaters. In each episode, a suspicious woman learns through friends and social media that her man is cheating and then they all join together to plot a surprising “reveal” to teach him a lesson.
Ripper Street (10 p.m., BBC America) – A chemist is murdered and there’s evidence that he may have been an abortionist. Also, Dr. Frayn tells Susan to hire Dr. Rolle.
