The 2000s: A New Reality (9 p.m., National Geographic Channel) – The start of a new series that explores events of the turbulent decade. Included tonight: a controversial presidential election, the Gary Condit scandal and the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
Ray Donovan (9 p.m., Showtime) – Season 3 starts with Ray helping a wealthy family find their kidnapped son, and finding himself entwined with a new class of people.
The Last Ship (9 p.m., TNT) – Chandler and his crew face off against a nuclear-powered submarine led by rogue British naval officers, and Slattery interrogates a captured mercenary.
Basketball Wives LA (9 p.m., VH1) – In the Season 4 premiere, Jackie tries to work her way back into the group's good graces after causing trouble in Paris.
Ballers (10 p.m., HBO) – Spencer visits a neurologist and Joe breaks the rules to land a new client.
The Crimson Field (10 p.m., UNC-TV) – The arrival of soldiers from her hometown lifts Joan's spirits, but loyalties are questioned when an old patient returns.
