Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story (5:30 p.m., Lifetime / A&E)

As a warm-up for the doc at 8, we get a repeat of this 2013 movie about the formation of the group TLC in Atlanta, their rise to fame and the tragic death of Lisa Left Eye Lopes. It stars Keke Palmer as Chilli, Drew Sidora as T-Boz and Lil Mama as Left Eye. NOTE: This also airs Sunday at 3 p.m. on Lifetime.

TLC Forever (8 p.m., Lifetime / A&E)

This new documentary “chronicles the journey of the female group who led the way with their music, their message, and their style.” T-Boz and Chilli, along with others from the music industry, speak for the first time about their lives in how they “broke boundaries, influenced an entire generation and survived against all odds.”

TLC formed in Atlanta in 1990 with members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. They have sold more than 85 million records worldwide, with nine top-ten hits and more than 35 major awards. Their megahits include “Creep”, “Waterfalls”, “No Scrubs”, and “Unpretty.” There have also been lows for the group, particularly with the death of Left Eye in a car accident in Honduras in 2002

“Against all odds and through all the struggles, the group persevered with courage, love and unity, forging a new path to success, including launching their new #HotSummerNights tour,” says Lifetime.

Note: This also airs at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Lifetime.

How to stream: The documentary will be available to watch on demand and to stream on the Lifetime app and on lifetime.com.

48 HOURS: The Case of the Poison Cheesecake (10 p.m., CBS)

“48 HOURS” reports on the story of Olga Tsvyk, a beauty stylist in Queens, N.Y., who was almost murdered in 2016 by a mysterious client, Viktoria Nasyrova, who came to her home and poisoned her with a piece of cheesecake. The details of the crime – and the motive – don’t make sense to investigators until they realize that the stylist and the client bear an uncanny physical resemblance.
