What to Watch on Monday: 3-night ‘Big Blue Live’ special begins
Big Blue Live (8 p.m., UNC-TV) – The first episode of a live, three-night PBS/BBC collaboration celebrating wildlife success stories and marine animal phenomenon. The series focuses on the rejuvenation of Monterey Bay, Calif., where marine creatures now thrive in a once-endangered ecosystem. Parts two and three – all live – air Monday and Tuesday nights.
Switched at Birth (8 p.m., ABC Family) – Bay finds herself under scrutiny following her return to school, while Daphne’s poor grades impact her scholarship.
Awkward (9 p.m., MTV) – The fifth and final season begins.
The Storm Makers (10 p.m., UNC-TV) – A POV report on Cambodia’s human trafficking underworld focuses on a 16-year-old peasant girl sold into slavery and two traffickers who move poor and illiterate people across the border.
