What to Watch on Saturday: A new season of ‘Doctor Who’
Doctor Who (9 p.m., BBC America) – In the Season 9 premiere, the Earth’s skies are frozen by a strange alien force, but Clara cannot find the Doctor, who is hiding from his past.

Ungodly Acts (8 p.m., Lifetime) – In this Lifetime movie, inspired by actual events, a fanatical “end times” preacher is accused of killing his wife and making it look like a suicide. He denies involvement but his flock comes to believe he is leading a secret life.
Pit Bulls and Paroles (9 p.m., Animal Planet) – Two episodes start the new season. First, Tia discusses memorable moments at Villalobos. At 10, a new satellite shelter opens in nearby Assumption Parish.
Ice Age: Last of the Giants (9 p.m., Discovery) – Science sheds light on the Ice Age. The iconic animals that endured the Ice Age prove the Earth experienced extreme climate changes.
