How to Get Away With Murder (10 p.m., ABC) – No returning TGIT show is more eagerly anticipated than this one – at least in my book. When we open, the students are still in shock over Rebecca’s disappearance, but while Annalise and Frank try to find out who killed her, they must act as though nothing has happened.

Also on tonight . . .

Heroes Reborn (8 p.m., NBC) – In this new series, about people with extraordinary abilities who go into hiding after they are blamed for a devastating terrorist attack, opens with two new episodes.

Grey’s Anatomy (8 p.m., ABC) – In the Season 12 premiere, Meredith adjusts to her new roommates and Bailey fights for the chief of surgery position.

Scandal (9 p.m., ABC) – Season 5 opens with Olivia and Fitz enjoying their time together while Cyrus, Mellie and Huck live with the aftermath of aiding Command.

The Player (10 p.m., NBC) – A new drama about a security expert who searches for his ex-wife’s killer and crosses paths with a shadowy organization whose members bet on whether future crimes can be stopped.
