What to Watch on Tuesday: A new season of ‘Finding Your Roots’

Finding Your Roots (8 p.m., UNC-TV) – In the Season 3 opener, Henry Louis Gates Jr. helps tell the family stories of political consultant Donna Brazile, actor Ty Burrell and artist Kara Walker.

New Girl (8 p.m., Fox) – In the Season 5 premiere, Jess plans an engagement party for Schmidt and Cece, not realizing Cece’s mom is unaware of her daughter’s plans to marry. (Note: “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” moves to Tuesdays at 9 start tonight.)

Hollywood Game Night (8 p.m., NBC) – Season 4 starts with Kevin Smith, Dave Foley, Tony Hale, Helen Hunt, Justin Long and Alyson Hannigan.

Netanyahu at War (9 p.m., UNC-TV) – This Frontline report chronicles the clash between President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over Iran’s nuclear program.
