The Perfect Crime (9 p.m., UNC-TV) – An American Experience documentary on the trial of wealthy college students Nathan Leopold, Jr. and Richard Loeb, who murdered a 14-year-old boy in 1924 just to prove they could get away with it. The murder and trial set off a national debate about morality and capital punishment.

Marvel’s Agent Carter (9 p.m., ABC) – Peggy has to stop an atomic explosion that could destroy California.

Grinder (9:30 p.m., Fox) – When Dean’s dramatic behavior scares away a prospective client, Stewart wants Dean to get therapy and drop his TV persona.
