What to Watch on Wednesday: ‘Underground’ begins on WGN
Underground (10 p.m., WGN) – A powerful (but sometimes uncomfortable to watch) new series about slaves in 1857 who leave a Georgia plantation and attempt the dangerous journey 600 miles north for the promise of freedom. It’s executive produced by John Legend and has a great cast, including: Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Christopher Meloni, Alano Miller, Aldis Hodge, Marc Blucas, Reed Diamond and Amirah Vann.
