What to Watch on Friday: New season of ‘Great British Baking Show’

The Great British Baking Show (9 p.m., UNC-TV) – In the Season 6 opener, 12 bakers take on their first challenge: making a Madeira cake. Also on the menu, a classic black forest gateau.

Killjoys (9 p.m., Syfy) – After failing to rescue D’avin, Dutch and Johnny head to Eulogy in the Season 2 premiere, hoping to steal a mysterious, high-tech shield.

Dark Matter (10 p.m., Syfy) – Season 2 starts with the crew awakening as prisoners on a maximum security galactic detention facility.

Morgan Spurlock: Inside Man (10 p.m., CNN) – Documentarian Spurlock gets a detox treatment to rid his body of contaminants, commonly found in food, cleaning products and furniture.
