What to Watch on Friday: ‘Redwood Kings’ debut fills out Animal Planet’s night o’ trees

Redwood Kings (9pm, Animal Planet) - Twin brothers in California use reclaimed pieces of redwood trees for one-of-a-kind creations in this new series, which begins with a pirate-theme tree house in San Diego that features a crow’s nest, cannons and daggers. Also, a California brewery gets a drinking table with a cross section from a 1500-year-old sequoia. A new episode of “ Treehouse Masters” airs right after (and a repeat airs right before).

Also on tonight . . .

Masters of Illusion (8pm, CW) - If Wednesday night’s “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” show wasn’t enough magic for you, here’s another new CW magic series. This one showcases top magicians, mentalists and escape artists, like Jan Rouven, Michael Finney, Nathan Burton and others.

Cold Justice (9pm, TNT) - Kelly and Yolanda travel to Cambridge, Ohio, to investigate the death of a pregnant teenager.

Hannah Anderson: Anatomy of a Kidnapping (10pm, NBC) - Guess what you don’t see in this 10 p.m. Friday timeslot? “Crossbones.” That’s because NBC canceled it and moved the final two episodes to Saturday night. But about this … it’s a special exploring what happened to Hannah Anderson, the San Francisco teenager who was kidnapped and then found in the Idaho wilderness after being held hostage.

The Killing (Netflix) - The third and final season of this quality (but beleaguered) series landed on Netflix today. The six episodes should give fans of Linden and Holder a little closure.
