Good news and bad news for Charlotte residents: While temperatures are expected to be higher than usual, thunderstorms are likely throughout the week.
“There’s a good chance of showers and thunderstorms most days,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Jeff Taylor. “That’s going to be a persistent theme.”
Temperatures for this time of year usually reach a high of 69 and a low of 44. But temperatures are expected to climb as high as 83 on Wednesday, Taylor said.
On Monday, the high is expected to be 71, with a low overnight around 56. On Tuesday, the high and low will be 77 and 60 respectively. By Wednesday, temperatures will climb to 82, with a low overnight of 61.

Temperatures will fall on Thursday but remain warm, with a high of 75 and a low of 61. On Friday, the high will be near 79, with a low of 64 overnight.
Over the weekend, temperatures are expected to hover in the upper 70s. Despite the warm weather, Taylor said, the week isn’t expected to be very sunny.
“It will be more clouds than sunshine,” he said. “It’s going to stay partly cloudy to mostly cloudy most of the time.”
