The two tops teams in the statewide 4A prep football poll are becoming clear.
The top two teams in the N.C. 4A Associated Press poll are pretty clear now.
Wake Forest is No. 1 with six first place votes. Mallard Creek is No. 2 with three first place votes. No other teams received first place voges his week.
Mecklenburg County teams continue to dominate the 4A poll with No. 3 Hough, No. 4 Myers Park, No. 7 Vance and No. 10 Butler all ranked.
In the 3A poll, Charlotte Catholic is No. 2 with one first-place vote. Gastonia Huss is No. 4 and Weddington, which lost 20-0 to Catholic last week, is No. 6. At No. 8 sits Charlotte Christian, a private school that beat Catholic in Week 1.
