17 hospitalized after crash involving CATS bus

Seventeen people went to the hospital following a CATS bus crash north of uptown Wednesday morning.

The wreck happened before 8:40 a.m. on Beatties Ford Road near Cemetery Street.

Another vehicle was involved in the crash, and it was overturned when officials arrived on scene. Charlotte Firefighters advised people to expect significant delays in the area.

Medic says they took 17 people to Carolinas Medical Center with minor injuries.
