Carmel Middle School Principal LeDuan Pratt returned to work this week after Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools put the school’s three top administrators on leave last week, CMS said Tuesday.
As of Monday, Assistant Principal Bethany Gullion is suspended without pay and Dean of Students Patrick Dean is suspended with pay, CMS spokeswoman Renee McCoy said.
CMS officials, citing personnel privacy laws, have not said what led to the removal of the three. But in response to Observer questions at the time, CMS did issue a statement saying there was no “improper behavior by CMS personnel towards any student and there is no criminal investigation of any CMS personnel related to this.”
