It’s fall: So what are you going to wear? Here are some ideas

Fall is here (….kind of) and we all know how easy it is to fall into the black leggings, oversized comfy tops and brown riding boots pattern.

Let’s break out of that rut.

Here are four updated looks you can piece together at Apricot Lane Boutique in Stonecrest Shopping

The fall wedding

A neutral fringe dress by Vida Clothing ($55) paired with black fringe open-toe booties ($36) is the perfect blank canvas to dress up with some statement accessories or keep it simple for a more casual event.

The business meeting

Professional looks can be hard when all you want to wear is big sweaters, but this silky, long-sleeved dress ($49) with a pop of sparkle ($42) is a great comfortable compromise.

The Panthers game

Whether you’re actually going to a game or hitting your local bar with friends, sometimes your Cam jersey just doesn’t do it for you. The draped Michael Stars top ($88) was one of my favorite pieces. Pair with your favorite denim (Flying Monkey, $79) and a pop of blue and you’re set.

The weekend outing

Picking pumpkins or apples? Maybe grabbing brunch with friends? Either way, this look is fantastic. Get cozy in this knitted poncho ($42), which is basically like wrapping yourself in a blanket. Add some oomph with this statement necklace ($26) and a faux suede clutch ($48) and keep it looking a little glam.

Girlfriend parties

Last weekend, I was invited to one of Apricot Lane’s girlfriend parties. This one was hosted by Nourish, a women’s community, and Barre Time, a local barre studio. Apricot also offers personal parties for birthdays, bachelorettes or just a girl’s nights out.

Let me tell you, this event was amazing! Not only do you get to shop and get 15 percent off, but you also get refreshments, from mimosas and cupcakes to wine and light bites from Pearlz Oyster Bar, which for this party provided fresh peel and eat shrimp. Live music was performed by Amanda Barron and her husband.

They also make booking super easy, all you have to do is either stop by the store or call and see what days they have available.

Check them out at 7800 Rea Road in the Stonecrest Shopping Center, or on their Facebook page.
