She blinded me with science! Find love at Discovery Place
V-day is right around the corner which means love, greeting cards, chocolate and flowers are in the air and in your local grocery store. If February 14 means a table for one, no fret, C5 will help you find love at Discovery Place. And if you are coupled up but want that extra lovin’ feeling, one of the top life and science centers in the country has the boost you’re looking for.
More cuddle time
Let’s face it, a good cuddler isn’t easy to find. Especially one that maintains a body temperature cooler than the surface of the sun. At Discovery Place, you can get all the cuddle action you’ve been looking for at the IMAX film Pandas: The Journey Home. You can make cute faces, say awww, get warm fuzzies and feel warm – but not too warm – without the awkward moments.
Be yourself
It is important in any relationship that you be yourself and no one supports this more than your friends at Discovery Place. If you are into ceramics, cosplay or dissecting eyeballs, they have you covered with fun and informative programs. Check out their complete list of events and classes because they get you…they really get you.
Let the sparks fly
Don’t get us wrong, we believe in sparks, attraction, love at first sight, unicorns and rainbows, but if you are lacking that bolt of excitement, we know where you can find it. Head over to the Explore More Stuff lab and you and your crew can experiment with electricity and magnetism. Sounds like a good night to me.
Heart happiness
Bad breakups and sad relationship endings make for for great country songs and inspirational poetry, but Discovery Place has activities to help you be really good to your heart – sans self loathing. Check out Body Worlds to see what makes you tick (hint: it has something to do with your heart), hear from a cardiologist from Novant Health’s Heart and Vascular Team and see how incredible the human body really is with the IMAX film The Human Body.
Find love (really) at Discovery Place
Even with all the great events and activities at Discovery Place, you still may be looking for a fellow explorer to join you. Discovery Place to the rescue. Head to Science on the Rocks: Fire & Ice Feb. 19 and check out Charlotte’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes.
