Behind Birdsong’s brews
Birdsong Brewing Co.’s Jalepeno Pale Ale is, in my opinion, one of the signature beers of Charlotte. When I first moved here, that was on everyone’s list of a must-try brew. So, what motivates the brewers at Birdsong to try new flavors in beer? Here’s their story:
Birdsong Brewing was founded in 2011 by a group of friends who share a love for both great beer and great people. They started with a five-gallon kettle and a vision inspired by some of their favorite craft breweries. The idea was simple: to brew full-flavored, unfiltered quality craft beer and bring that to Charlotte. They are fortunate to have an amazing team of owners, staff and, of course, their brewmaster, Conor Robinson. Influenced by the innovative styles from the West Coast and propelled by Conor’s passion and ingenuity, they have been able to create beers that are as delicious and sessionable as they are unique. Birdsong Brewing is proud to be a part of the growing craft beer scene in Charlotte and the larger Carolina region. With that pride comes a responsibility to make the best beer they can brew; beer that makes people happy while growing their appreciation for the craft.
