How to find beautiful furniture and home accessories that last [Partner]
This weekend, you’ll have a chance to shop for sophisticated furniture at deep discounts — all while on your way to or from a low country boil.
This weekend’s Circa Interiors & Antiques warehouse sale offers Myers Park-esque furniture at prices for young homeowners and apartment dwellers. The signature furniture store, founded by Cindy Smith in 1988, will offer 80 to 90 percent off on quality new and antique pieces.
The sale will be near Sugar Creek Brewery, which is hosting Michelle’s Mighty Mission, a low country boil and home brewing competition to benefit Michelle Pratt and the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. Circa Interiors is encouraging people to have a beverage and a bite to eat before or after checking out lusciously-printed rugs and soft, neutral sofas.
Here’s what you’ll find at the sale:
A nap-worthy couch. A 2013 article in House Beautiful recommended buying a couch that’s at least 90 inches long and 40 inches deep for some afternoon shuteye. At the sale, you’ll find cream-color sofas with matching pillows. Throw in a soft textured blanket and the sofa is a show piece for parties and for crashing on after people go home that night.
Price: Was $3,000. Now $1,200.
Tables for two or three or more. If you’re still eating from your barstools or on the couch in front of the TV, well, you’re a lot like me. But when you want to have dinner with your special someone or at least have a place for your cocktail meatballs at parties, you’ll want to invest in a real table to take wherever you live.
Table price: Was $3,150. Now $1,260.
Chairs to go with your new table. Upholstered in smooth cream fabric on the back and seat, you’ll feel ready to have sophisticated discussions about politics and foreign policy. Or just a more comfortable place to talk about your pet hedgehog.
Price: Was $600. Now $240 per chair.
Accessories. Did you ever think you’d need a set of gold sandpipers to accent your mantle? Well it’s affordable and natural to feel that way at this sale. Speaking of accent, you’ll also find cushioned benches for when you need to sit down and tie your shoes.
Bench price: Was $835. Now $332.
Grab a drink from the brewery and find furniture that lasts at the Circa Interiors sale. They’ll only have one of these this season.
