Pageland police chief placed on leave

The police chief in Pageland, S.C.,was placed on administrative leave.

Chief Larry Brown was placed on leave during an investigation by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner. No information was available Sunday on the nature of the investigation in Pageland.

SLED conducts investigations for the state as directed by the governor and attorney general.
