Police find man seriously wounded outside Walmart on Wilkinson Blvd.
One person was taken to Carolinas Medical Center after being shot in west Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
The victim was found about 9 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot in the 3200 block of Wilkinson Boulevard. Medic confirmed that the victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police said they believe the victim was shot during a fight that broke out on Tuckaseegee Road in west Charlotte. They say he made it to the Walmart in a car and police had an area of the parking lot taped off while they investigated the incident.
Officers have not said what may have led to the shooting or if any arrests were made.
No names have been released.
