Basketball tournament

3-on-3 senior co-ed “Still Got Game” tournament, for ages 50 and older, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 8 at Tuckaseegee Recreation Center, 4820 Tuckaseegee Road. $75 per team (up to six players); $100 per team as of Aug. 1.



UNCC piano sale

The Rockley Family Foundation provides the UNC Charlotte Department of Music with first-class standard and digital pianos – and every year these and other instruments are sold. From noon to 5 p.m. on Aug. 9, grand, baby grand and digital pianos can be bought at UNCC’s Robinson Hall for the Performing Arts. Most are less than a year old, are tuned, and include full factory warranty. Aug. 7-8 is a by-appointment presale.
