Mom Asks Cockatoo About Her Day and Gets a Major Earful
Some pets greet you quietly.
Some give you a look.
And then there are Cockatoos, who apparently hear one simple question and decide it is finally time to deliver the full, unedited recap.
That is exactly what happens in this video, and it is hilarious.
Mom asks a normal question, and the Cockatoo answers like she has been waiting all day for someone to finally hand her the mic. You can almost imagine her thinking, "Well, first of all, thank you for asking, because a lot happened."
The comments make it even better. One person wrote, "I feel like when you asked her to slow down, she said... I don't know if I can." Which is honestly perfect, because the energy really is that specific. Another said, "I have the same conversations with my Too! Usually I just agree with her, lol." Also fair. At a certain point, nodding along feels like the safest option.
And honestly, if my dog Lola could talk, we would be in trouble. I already know she has opinions. If she had actual words, I would never know peace again. But this Cockatoo? She is already living that dream. She does not need human language to make her point. She simply needs an audience.
Cockatoos Need Interaction, Enrichment, and Room To Express Themselves
Funny as this is, it also fits what makes Cockatoos such big personalities. VCA Hospitals notes that Cockatoos are highly social, demand a lot of attention, and thrive on companionship, routine, and mental stimulation, which helps explain why they can be so vocal and expressive in daily life.
Honestly, she answered that question like she had been storing voice notes in her feathers all day.
