Dogs can cause all kinds of chaos when left to their own devices-but not Olivia.

This certified good girl has been waiting patiently at North Central Animal Shelter in Los Angeles, California, for a forever family to come her way, and her recent behavior during an unexpected side quest should have sealed the deal. Somehow, though, no adopter has stepped forward for this gorgeous Boxer dog, even after seeing what she did after being locked in a meet-and-greet room at the shelter on April 22.

I am obsessed with Olivia A2258617 at North Central Animal shelter in Los Angeles!! This rock star mama is a regular in playgroups because she is SO GOOD with other dogs. She meets dogs where they are, helps nervous and anxious dogs come out of their shell and can play hard and fast and bring the hardcore joy to every interaction she is. She is a lovebug and in our outing gave me the biggest hug. Shes really a dream girl, run don't walk for this beautiful angel!! 2 years old, 58 pounds, this mama was found as a stray and recently had puppies in March at the shelter. She's got that loving playful mama glow about her and it's infectious!! Sweet Disposition FeelingBlew - Feelingblew

Olivia is such a patient pup! She could have panicked or wreaked havoc while she was alone in the room, but all she wanted to do was take a nap. Even as friends, strangers, and other shelter dogs walked by outside, she kept her cool and impressed everybody who saw her.

"What a great calm demeanor," commented @noethcs. "Great to hear she is a star in the playground with other dogs. It's her time to find a great home to be loved and treated like the queen she is."

As commenter @mine_fur_life pointed out, maybe this mama dog "just wanted some quiet time." Considering that she gave birth in the shelter in March, that's certainly possible! Between raising puppies, leading playgroups, and making the most of every ounce of playtime, Olivia has a packed schedule.

But why in the world hasn't she been adopted yet? Having puppies can be an understandable setback, but this 2-year-old shelter dog has to be someone's dream dog. Between her calm demeanor, her social personality, and her zest for life, what's not to love?

Shelter Dogs' Resilience

Olivia's easygoing and joyful nature is a beautiful example of the resilience that shelter dogs are known for. No two rescue dogs have the same story, but they've all overcome challenge after challenge, just in the hopes of finding a forever home.
