If you're a dog parent who's ever left home for any reason, you know the absolute joy of returning to these happy, wiggly souls. Oh, to be Grandpa Mike and so loved by a dog, they "kick it into second gear" just to get to you faster! Bowser is definitely a mama's boy, but when Grandpa is around, he gets the celebrity treatment. I don't know if I've ever seen a Bulldog move those "chonky" legs that fast before, but if I were Mike, I'd consider it a sign of good luck!

How Dogs Choose Their Person
There are likely many actors a dog considers when choosing their favorite person (or people). To stay on their good side in hopes of becoming one, consistent training, early socialization, and a lot of positive experiences and associations matter.
Typically, dogs bond with those who feed them, play with them, and take the time to give them attention or make them feel special. In my house, I'm considered "the food lady," which means I dole out the meals and treats, making me a highly valuable asset! Even after playing with my husband, they still come to me for whatever else they need (and yes, I feel like the queen of my kingdom when they do this!).
In Bowser's case, Grandpa is clearly a top-three favorite if it garners that kind of speed. I hope he doesn't take such an honor lightly!
