Meet the Only Tequila Aged in 3 Barrels to Honor the Host Nations of the FIFA World Cup
El Tri now has a second meaning.
Centenario Tequila has been around since 1857, when the world's first Maestro Tequilero, Lázaro Gallardo, introduced it from the Highlands of Jalisco.
Now, for the first time ever, Centenario is doing something it has never done before, with the limited-edition drop of Centenario Tri-Nation Fútbol Reposado.
It's Aged In 3 Different Barrels
The new drop, available for pre-order now and hitting shelves in May, is aged in Mexican, American, and Canadian oak barrels to honor the three host nations of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on June 11.
Centenario, the official tequila partner of the Mexican National Team, slow-cooked the new drop in traditional masonry ovens and double-distilled it in copper stills. According to the brand, the liquid was then aged for a minimum of two months in toasted oak barrels from each of the three hosting nations, with each contributing its own unique character.
The Mexican oak delivers heritage and depth, while American oak brings sweetness and structure, and the Canadian oak adds balance and a subtle, layered finish.

The finished product features notes of roasted agave, sweet oak, maple, and a light herbal character. It opens with aromas of wood and roasted agave, and closes with a warm, well-balanced finish.
The Iconic Bottle
Centenario Tri-Nation Fútbol Reposado is bottled in a striking black-and-gold bottle that's distinctly elegant, which pays homage to the Mexican National Team's "de oro" jerseys (or "of gold").
You can see the Mexican National Team's official crests throughout its history on one side of the bottle, while the other features the famous "Vamos México" rally cry.
The center of the bottle features each country's namesake, along with an eagle anchoring the front panel "as a shared symbol of strength across cultures."

"For Centenario Tri-Nation Fútbol Reposado Tequila, we started from a place of Mexican pride and craftsmanship, which will never change. And we aged this liquid in three distinct oaks that each contribute something unique, without losing what makes them different," said Lander Otegui, EVP of Marketing and Innovation at Proximo Spirits. "This liquid honors the passion that turns the game into a celebration of identity, pride, and cross-cultural experience."
Centenario Tri-Nation Fútbol Reposado Tequila is available in a 700ml bottle at $37.99 SRP and is bottled at 40% ABV. You can pre-order it here now.
