Little Girl Performs Taylor Swift Song for Her Cat-and He's Not Impressed
Tara (@tstanford8) is mom to both her toddler daughter, Summer, and her Tuxedo cat, Marcus. Summer adores Marcus, but the feeling isn't exactly mutual. While the little girl always wants to play with her feline friend, Marcus would much rather be left alone, even when it comes to impromptu musical performances.
In this short but hilarious clip, Summer sings into a toy microphone, performing Taylor Swift's "Opalite" like she's serenading him. Marcus' expression says it all, making it clear he's either not impressed with the performance or simply not a Swiftie.

Summer's karaoke might not be Marcus' cup of tea, but she could sing to us any day!

Viewers React to the Cat's 'Unimpressed' Face in Viral Clip
Reading through some of the thousands of comments viewers left was just as much fun as watching Tara's video of her daughter's performance, and Marcus's completely unimpressed face. @Maroch got more than 14k likes when they shared a screenshot of the cat's face and said what Marcus was probably thinking: "It's this or the streets..."
@JoDay joked, "Yep, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up here..." Another commenter shared, "It looks like Marcus is waiting to be saved."
Commenter @Phenomenal Rose got 14k likes when she pointed out, "This is clearly a one-sided relationship, LOL!" @Quin_didi made everybody laugh with, "He sat there questioning his nine life choices..."
VCA Animal Hospitals notes that not all pets enjoy being sung to or listening to music, reminding pet parents that every animal is unique and has their own preferences.
However, if you do want to serenade your pet like a rock star, they recommend experimenting with different styles and volumes. "Keep your voice gentle and relaxed, and observe your pet's vocal response. If your cat begins to relax or your dog wags their tail, you're likely on the right track," VCA explains.
